    These Yoga Pants are Made from Recycled Bottles

    As consumers become more conscious of where their fashion comes from, we’re beginning to see more ethically sourced and produced products hit the market. Just last month our friends at Rothy’s made a splash with the announcement of their waste-free shoes, which are made of recycled filament fiber derived from ground-up plastic water bottles. The startup also leverages 3D knitting, a process that essentially eliminates waste from the manufacturing process.

    Enter now Scoria, an environmentally-friendly and imaginative yoga apparel startup designed with a child-like imagination. Created by Yara Kamal, a Toronto-based art teacher, graphic designer, and yogi, Scoria invites you to explore a world of magic and wonder. The clothing company’s mats are made from non-slip, biodegradable cork, while their leggings are made from 86% recycled yarns derived from post-consumer plastic bottles, not unlike Rothy’s footwear.
