Today on the Electric Runway podcast, we bring you a very special announcement! You may have already seen founder Amanda Cosco’s article for Wareable this morning, but in case you didn’t let’s fill you in:
CODAME, a non-profit organization with a mission to forward technology and the arts here in San Francisco, announced a new venture today called CODAME Labs. The lab will focus on cross-discipline collaboration between the fashion and tech industries and help foster relationships between brands and designers. Some of the artists involved include Lisa Lang of ElektroCouture and Behnaz Farahi, who you heard from last episode. What’s more, one of our favourite women-to-watch Anouk Wipprecht will serve as creative director.
The Dutch designer who has a history of partnering with big-name tech companies such as Audi, Intel, and Microsoft, will bring her expertise in fashion, technology, machine learning and interactive design and help coordinate special programming.
