If you’re like me, you love all things tech and media. As a podcast creator, I’m regularly on the lookout for cool and interesting conversations to tune into. Last week, I was a guest on the Camp Tech podcast, a podcast created by my colleague and friend Avery Swartz. Avery is a web designer and digital strategy expert, not to mention a total ladyboss and woman to watch.
As the founder of Camp Tech, Avery is dedicated to educating people about tech. Camp Tech offers workshops for adults who want to learn practical tech skills (like how to create with the Adobe Suite, or how to make a MailChimp email newsletter). I’ve watched Camp Tech grow from just an idea to a business that now employs full-time staff and is available in multiple cities across Canada. I was even one of Avery’s early students, since she helped me build some of my early web presences that got me to where I am today.
Avery’s new podcast extends her mission to educate audiences about tech in an approachable, friendly, way. So how lucky was I that I got to be one of the first guests on the show talking about fashion, tech, and wearables? (Answer: pretty lucky).
