For two years now in January, Electric Runway founder Amanda Cosco has been invited to take the stage at We Are Wearables Toronto to discuss CES, the Consumer Electronics Show. For those who aren’t familiar, CES is the largest tradeshow in North America and often sets the stage for the calendar year in terms of technological innovation.
Since Electric Runway focuses on the intersection of fashion and technology, we’re particularly interested in the wearables and lifestyle tech aspect of CES, which has become increasingly prominent over the past few years. We were able to speak to the implications for the retail and fashion communities, and how what we observed on the show floor will impact these sectors. Other panelists included Darrell Etherington of TechCrunch, Patrick O’Rourke of MobileSyrup, Josh McConnell of the Financial Post, Daniel Bader of Android Central, and blogger Casie Stewart of This Is My Life.
