Fashion Tech Journalist Amanda Cosco speaks with designer and woman-to-watch Chelsea Klukas. In addition to experience working for tech giants such as Amazon and Facebook, Chelsea also co-founded MakeFashion, a high-tech, high-fashion production company that grew out of Calgary’s maker movement. Chelsea shares how she balances creative and commercial projects, as well as the opportunities she sees for the digitization of clothing and retail. She also hints at an upcoming line of commercially available fashion-tech garments, as well as an augmented reality experimentation with her signature design, Lumen Couture.
