If you’re like me and you’ve been following #FashionTech for some time, it’s likely you’ve heard of Chromat. The architectural swim and athletic wear brand designed for strong, powerful women has stolen headlines since launching in 2010. Spearheaded by ladyboss Becca McCharen-Tran, Chromat has been applauded for integrating performance and technology into its fashion week presentations and for defying stereotypes by putting curvy women front and centre on the runway.
Now, as if full steam ahead, Chromat has announced a new collaboration with Mac. The cosmetic’s company named Becca as an urban visionary, championing her inclusive stance on gender, tech, and athleticism. In association with the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, MAC chose Chromat to present its first makeup collection, which it’s dubbing the future of assertive beauty.
