InStore: An Immersive Event on the Future of Retail

Websites are behaving more like stores, and stores are behaving more like websites. Whether it’s mobile ordering or interactive mirrors, retailers are innovating to offer rich experiences that dissolve the distinction between bricks and clicks.

As the line between digital and physical continues to blur in all aspects of life, we’re asking, what are the implications for retail? What will the store of the future look like? How and where will the customer of tomorrow shop? In reply, Electric Runway has teamed up with Digital Main Street, the City of Toronto, ModiFace and the Design Exchange, to bring you InStore: an immersive event on the future of retail.

This evening event will take place in two parts designed to offer a balance of experience and education. Part one is an immersive, high-tech, high-touch retail showroom, featuring displays from ModiFace, Klothed, Kinetic Cafe, Jam3, CALA, Metavrse, and more. Attendees are invited to wander through and interact with a selection of next-generation retail technologies, including augmented reality mirrors and digital retail touchpoints.

Part two is a short series of spotlight chats hosted by fashion tech journalist Amanda Cosco. Industry leaders will share insight into ideas of augmented retail, v-commerce, and how artificial intelligence (AI) will change how we shop. Forget the word omnichannel—this ain’t your momma’s retail conference.
