Madison Maxey: Hacking the Fabrics of the Future

This week on the Electric Runway podcast, I had the opportunity to get to know someone whose career I’ve been following and admiring from a distance for over a year. New York-based Madison Maxey is a creative technologist and entrepreneur pioneering the future of fabrics. Her design studio, the Crated, just won an award from Topshop to help integrate electronic circuits into textiles.

At twenty-three, Maxey is more accomplished than most thirty-year-olds I know, although she’d be the last person to tell you that. Humble, collected, and genius, Maxey is certainly a woman-to-watch in fashion tech, and someone whose career we’ll be following closely. With projects under her belt like Zac Posen’s Made with Code Dress for New York Fashion Week, we can’t wait to see what she’ll do next.
